Tyler W. Benting and Ashlea A. Crumley are attorneys who work in the areas of estate planning, probate, real estate transactions, business formation and other matters, and general civil litigation.

Tyler W. Benting

Tyler W. Benting was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2013. Prior to attending law school at Texas Tech University School of Law, Tyler attended New Mexico State University where he was a crimson scholar. Tyler earned his BA in government from NMSU, his juris doctor from Texas Tech, and his master’s degree in personal financial planning from Texas Tech.

Tyler focuses on estate planning (wills & trusts), probate, real estate, and business law, and general civil litigation. He won the “2020 Contract Attorney Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Excellence Award” at the New Mexico Children’s Law Institute and was selected to Rising Stars in 2020 – 2023, a SuperLawyers publication.

Tyler lives in Deming with his wife, Cindy, and their young children. He currently serves as the Den Leader of their oldest son’s Cub Scout Den. Tyler has been involved in Lion’s Club International in Deming, Rotary International in Deming, the Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce, and the Luna County Humane Society. Tyler was the president of the Chamber in 2016, an officer of the Lion’s Club, and a board member of both the Humane Society and the Rotary Club.

Ashlea A. Crumley

Ashlea A. Crumley is a Deming native and proud graduate of Deming High School. She earned her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2020, after completing her B.B.A. in General Business at New Mexico State University. Ashlea was also admitted to the Arizona Bar in 2024.

Before becoming an attorney, Ashlea worked with the New Mexico Human Services Department and later as a Vocational Transition Specialist, supporting students in special education as they prepared for adulthood. Her commitment to service led her to pursue a legal career, where she now serves her hometown community.

Ashlea also serves on the Deming Public Schools Board of Education. When she’s not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their four sons.

The law firm, utilizing attorney Crumley, was requested to create several Trust documents for my brother, who is suffering from a short term memory loss.  As my brother’s caregiver, I paid in advance for the law firm’s services.  I tried to work with the law firm whenever my brother was unable to understand correspondence from Crumley.  At every turn I was denied the common courtesy of a conversation, correspondence or even just status updates.  Seems like once I paid their fees they didn’t care about extending a professional courtesy or supporting a caretaker dealing with their Clients medical issue.  So if you have a family member suffering a medical issue or handicap that needs legal services, don’t go to Benting Crumley Law they have no empathy for family caregivers!
