Tyler W. Benting was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2013. Prior to attending law school at Texas Tech University School of Law, Tyler attended New Mexico State University where he was a crimson scholar. Tyler earned his BA in government from NMSU, his juris doctor from Texas Tech, and his master’s degree in personal financial planning from Texas Tech.

Tyler focuses on estate planning (wills & trusts), probate, real estate, and business law, and general civil litigation. He won the “2020 Contract Attorney Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Excellence Award” at the New Mexico Children’s Law Institute and was selected to Rising Stars in 2020 – 2023, a SuperLawyers publication.

Tyler lives in Deming with his wife, Cindy, and their young children. He currently serves as the Den Leader of their oldest son’s Cub Scout Den. Tyler has been involved in Lion’s Club International in Deming, Rotary International in Deming, the Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce, and the Luna County Humane Society. Tyler was the president of the Chamber in 2016, an officer of the Lion’s Club, and a board member of both the Humane Society and the Rotary Club.
